Job Description

The Division of Gastroenterology at St Elizabeths Medical Center, Boston, MA, has a faculty position opening for a well-qualified gastroenterologist with a special interest and advanced training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Applicants will have completed training in Gastroenterology with further specialized training in Inflammatory Bowel Disease. Current Inflammatory Bowel Disease fellows and experienced physicians are welcomed. Candidates would join an established hospital-based gastroenterology group, and will develop a significant specialty focused practice that includes inpatient, outpatient and procedural gastroenterology.

St. Elizabeths Medical Center features a state-of-the-art Endoscopy Unit with diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures that include ERCP, EUS, endoluminal stenting, Barretts endotherapy and other advanced endoscopic procedures, a brand new intensive care unit, excellent sub-specialty support, and a busy bariatric and colorectal surgery program. Candidates are also expected to teach medical students, medical residents and gastroenterology fellows. Candidates should be BC/BE in Gastroenterology, able to obtain a Massachusetts medical license and meet hospital credentialing requirements. St. Elizabeths Medical Center serves as the tertiary care hospital for Steward Health Care in Massachusetts, and is a major teaching affiliated hospital of Tufts University School of Medicine This position features a Faculty appointment at Tufts University School of Medicine commensurate with background and experience.
