Your role with the company:

The Physician position provides general and specialized medical care and treatment to over 300 individuals residing at J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center. This position serves as physician of record in specific cottages as assigned by the medical director, covers off hours and call in rotation with other physicians, and serves as a member of the medical staff. This position also assures compliance with professional standards, Federal and State Laws and Regulations, and ICF/MR Regulations.

Background Profile:

One year (PGY-1) of post graduate medical training.

Management Preferences:

Three or more years (PGY-1) of post graduate medical training.
Documented knowledge and additional training in developmental disabilities, behavioral medicine, and applicable subspecialties.
Two years of experience with developmental disabilities. Residency, fellowship, consultation in the context of a general population practice or full-time employment in the field would apply equally.

Physical Requirements:

Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the subject's own body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Licensed to practice medicine in the state of North Carolina.
