Who We Need

Were searching for a Board-Certified (or eligible) Psychiatrist who has:
A Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree and a medical license to practice in the State of Arizona (or eligibility to obtain an AZ license)
Experience in the delivery of mental treatment of adults
A valid and current DEA and CSPMP
Participated in the Meaningful Use Program of the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS)

What Youll Do

As a Psychiatrist at COPA Health, youll:
Report to Chief Psychiatrist and collaborate with Clinical Director and site administrator to optimize health solutions.
Promote and practice a recovery-focused approach in the treatment of patients mental health challenges.
Provide psychiatric assessments, follow-up evaluations, psychoeducation, psychopharmacologic management, counseling and coordination of services, and supportive psychotherapy.
Document and record treatment related findings, interventions, and plans.
Follow standards of monitoring for short and long term physical and metabolic effects of psychotropic medication and periodic measurement of medication blood levels when applicable.
Coordinate and communicate with primary care, specialty, and/ or emergency room providers to optimize health outcomes.
Adhere to evidence-based practices and DBHS and SAMHSA Performance Improvement Protocols and Technical Assistance Documents.
Consult complex cases with peers within the network and provide consultation and second opinions as needed.
Identify potential barriers to quality care and opportunities for improvement and report them to the Chief Psychiatrist and/or Chief Medical Officer.
Communicate and meet with supervising Chief Psychiatrist and Chief Medical Officer on a regular basis and update knowledge on changes in policies and procedures concerning the delivery of health care services to service participants.
Advance clinical knowledge and competency through regular participation in continuing medical education.
Participate in improving the quality of services in the clinic by providing didactics and mentorship to other clinical staff
