Job Description

The Montefiore Department of Radiology is seeking an ABR-certified/eligible radiologist to join the 6-member Emergency Radiology division with preferred start date of July or August 2020. We are losing one of our radiologists due to a family relocation. The division has 2-3 radiologists on duty per overnight to cover the busy Montefiore emergency departments (Level II trauma centers) for 10 hours on weekdays and 10.5 hours on weekends. Attendings work together from a central location with a night float resident and have 24/7 CT/US/MR tech coverage.
The ideal candidate will be Emergency Radiology, Neuroradiology, or Body radiology fellowship trained and be able to read the full spectrum of routine emergency studies including CT (body and neuro), ultrasound and radiographs. Neuro MRI is a plus but not required. Candidates will work 122 shifts per year (equivalent to a one week on two weeks off schedule). There is no requirement to perform procedures or read nuclear medicine or mammography studies.
Compensation and benefits are highly competitive. The department has also introduced a generous compensation plan which rewards clinical and academic productivity

To apply, please send a CV to John C. Pinto at jpinto@montefiore.org
In your email or cover letter, please describe:
1) The types of studies you currently read
2) Whether you have recent experience with night work.
3) What your typical volume is per shift/workday (including the shift length).

Montefiore Medical Center is the teaching hospital for the Albert Einstein College of Medicine and is located in the Bronx, a short drive or public transit commute from Manhattan and also easily accessible from Westchester County, Long Island and northern New Jersey. Imaging equipment is state of the art and constantly undergoing replacement or upgrades.

Faculty rank at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine will be commensurate with the candidates experience. Applicants must be eligible for and be able to obtain licensure in New York prior to their start date. We are an equal opportunity employer.
