Job Description

Conducts physical and mental assessment of the patient formulating nursing diagnosis, interaction strategies, and contributing Nursing's role to patient's interdisciplinary care plan (IPOS). Administers medication. Follows documentation guidelines. Conducts socialization, psycho educational and group therapy sessions. Performs high risk assessments of patient/staff injury, suicides, seclusion and restraint assessments and readiness for release. Responsible for and oversees professional nursing care of patients. Responsible to maintain nursing competency. Provides emergency care to patients and staff as needed. Participates in department and center-wide activities to maintain JC accreditation efforts including patient safety, P.I., I.C. and other pertinent patient care activities. This shift is 11pm-7:30am.

(THIS IS A TEST DESIGNATED POSITION)
All shifts- AM (7:00-3:30), PM (3:00-11:30), MN (11:00-7:30): fixed days/rotating weekends

Required Education and Experience
Education

Possession of a diploma, associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree in nursing accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.

Experience
One year of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11.

Alternate Education and Experience
Possession of a master's degree in nursing or possession of a bachelor's degree in nursing and six months of experience equivalent to a Registered Nurse P11 may be substituted for the experience requirement.

Additional Requirements and Information
Possession of a Michigan registered nurse license in good standing.
