Job Description

Western State Hospital is seeking an experienced and highly motivated individual to serve as a Licensed Practical Nurse 2, located in Lakewood. You will experience the rewarding feeling of being alongside a dedicated team who share your same passion of being committed to success.

Some of what you'll do:
Assist with the rehabilitation of patients or residents according to the treatment plan
Promote better understanding of hospital policies
Attend to the general care of patients or residents, provide for their emotional and physical comfort and safety, and maintains an attractive and comfortable environment
Participate in education programs and treatment team conferences
Care for patients or residents with communicable diseases including necessary sterilization and observation of aseptic techniques
Observes, records, and reports the general condition of patients or residents
Participates in providing therapeutic environment through acceptance of patients or residents behavior and guidance toward more rational behavior

Who should apply?
Professionals with a current Washington State license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse
AND
One year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse

Demonstrated ability to perform and interpret basic physical and treatment techniques
