OB/GYN for FQHC close to Raleigh, NC and Norfolk, VA

Job Description

Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) is seeking an OB/GYN committed to providing excellent quality health care at our Rural Health Group (RHG) Family and Womens Health location in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Office is located next to Vidant North Hospital (f/k/a Halifax Regional Medical Center) where OB/GYNs have privileges. Loan Repayment possible.

RHG is a 501(c)3 private corporation with a patient-majority board of directors
SCHEDULE: OB/GYNs have one day/week surgery, the rest in outpatient clinic, with 4 hours of designated administrative time per week. 25-35 patients per provider per day in the outpatient clinic.
The mix of patients (OB vs GYN) fluctuates based on demand/referrals. Deliveries are approx. 25/month for the group. GYN procedures vary based on referrals patients accepted from internal and external providers. Clinic days are allocated for GYN. Procedure appointments are 30 60 minutes.
This is a rural, underserved community with a number of high risk patients for both OB and GYN
CALL: 1:2 weekdays & 1:3 or 1:4 weekends with contracted OB/GYN covering one weekend/month; the other OB in town sometimes covers a weekend. We hope (but cant guarantee) to extend call to 1:3 weekdays.
TEAM: Current OB/GYN (Dept. director) + open OB/GYN spot, LCSW-A, RNs/LPNs/CMAs, sonographer, RN Clinical Practice Manager, operations Practice Manager, front desk & billing staff
Board certification (or board-eligible if resident) and BLS required; ACLS and NRP preferred
Robotics: We do not have DaVinci
EMR: RHG uses eClinicalWorks, hospital uses Meditech
Previous OB/GYN moved for different type of position with different shift schedule
Full-time, salaried employed position (not RVU-based)

RHGs service area is centrally located on I-95 and I-85 in northeastern North Carolina. We are in a scenic rural area with a reasonable cost of living and easy access to:

2 hours or less: Raleigh/Durham/ Chapel Hill/Research Triangle Park (RTP), Greenville NC, Richmond/Petersburg VA

2-4 hours: NCs Outer Banks, Virginia Beach/Norfolk VA, Greensboro NC, Winston-Salem NC, Washington DC, Charlotte NC

4-6 hours: Asheville NC, Myrtle Beach SC, C
