Northwestern Medical Center is looking for a Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner to join our experienced team in a full-time capacity.
Description:
The Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner will provide care to hospitalized patients in collaboration with the Hospitalist team which includes 24-hour physician coverage. We strive to provide exceptional care using evidence-based medicine. We value the perception of how we deliver that care to the patients and their families. We are fortunate to be able to offer a state-of-the-art facility, newly redesigned to provide all-private rooms with natural lighting. The unit has two negative pressure rooms, bedside ultrasound capability and is currently undergoing a ten-bed renovation to implement TeleICU tertiary care support for critically ill patients. The inpatient team consists of physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, dieticians, physical therapists, and care management staff for discharge planning. This team has daily interdisciplinary rounds where they work together to ensure that each patient has the best care possible.
Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an approved Nurse Practitioners education program with current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Vermont. At least one-year experience in an inpatient hospital setting preferred. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work cooperatively with physicians, other APPs, nursing and ancillary staff.
Compensation/Benefits:
NMC offers competitive salaries, and generous benefits, including $2,500 per year in CME funds and educational loan repayment.
