Job Description

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit health organization in South Carolina, seeks a BC/BE Med-Peds Hospitalist to join an established group of career hospitalists with low turnover. Current day shift schedule includes 3 physicians sharing admissions and rounding on an average of 15 patients each with the support of a PA. 1 Med-Peds physician covers the night shift. Ideal candidate will be trained in IM procedures and comfortable managing critically ill patients. Adult and pediatric subspecialist support is available by phone and on site.

BC/BE in internal medicine-pediatrics
$290K base salary with $45K incentive bonus and CME stipend
Up to $40K sign on bonus

Prisma Health-Upstate employs 16,000 people, including 1,200+ physicians on staff. Our system includes clinically excellent facilities with 1,627 beds across 8 campuses. Additionally, we host 14 residency and fellowship programs and a 4-year medical education program: University of South Carolina School of MedicineGreenville, located on Prisma Health-Upstates Greenville Memorial Medical Campus. We are a designated Level I Emergency Trauma Center and also have a separate research facility.

We are home to a strong Med-Peds residency as well as large, supportive Med-Peds physician community. There are 32 Med-Peds physicians ranging from combined subspecialists, primary care physicians and hospitalists in the Greenville area. Twenty-two are Prisma Health Med-Peds residency graduates.

Prisma Health Greer Memorial Hospital is an 80 bed Magnet recognized hospital located minutes from downtown Greenville. A community hospital, Greer Memorial offers expanded medical services to the growing greater Greenville area. The facility currently includes an 8 bed ICU, a Baby-Friendly level 1 nursery and a 6 bed pediatric unit, with plans for expansion to a level 2 nursery and larger pediatric unit in 2020. Prisma Health Greer Memorial Medical Campus provides a comprehensive range of inpatient and outpatient services as well as a host of community-based services.
