Job Description

Prisma Health, the largest not-for-profit healthcare provider in South Carolina, has an opening for a BC/BE Pediatric Endocrinologist to serve as a faculty Pediatric Endocrinologist. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated leadership experience and be eligible for the designation of Assistant or Associate Professor.

The Pediatric Endocrinology division is comprised of a collaborative team of two full-time and two part-time Pediatric Endocrinologists as well as Advanced Practitioners working in a collaborative manner with General Pediatrics and other Pediatric Subspecialties. We have onsite diabetes educators, registered dieticians and an array of social work and other support services.

Pediatric Endocrinology provides full spectrum care in both inpatient and outpatient settings at multiple practice locations. Our practice works closely with several community partners and participates in community education, integration with school nursing care and camp opportunities for children with diabetes.

Our research program includes active trials with TrialNet, SEARCH, and the Pediatric Diabetes Consortium. We have solid research nursing, research administration, a separate research facility, and extensive grant-building support. We work in conjunction with our medical school as mentors, teachers, and preceptors. Further, our Pediatric and Medicine-Pediatric residency programs have a long history of excellent instruction and results.
