FHR is proud to announce an expansion of our continuum of care in RI with our newest program, a Crisis Stabilization Unit. This program serves as a facility-based program where patients experiencing a psychiatric emergency can receive short-term stabilization services in a safe, structured setting. This 16 bed unit operates for the purposes of hospitalization diversion as well as a step down from a hospital setting for Rhode Island residents 18 years of age or older. It centers on recovery and resiliency with an emphasis on rehabilitation and person-centered care to manage behavior health needs, improve activities of daily living, and increase independence in order to transfer to a lower level of care. This program will operate 24 hours per day and is expected to open in July.

Licensed Clinician (LICSW) to provide leadership, individual family and group counseling in therapeutic setting designed to serve young adults through geriatric aged people with mental illness to facilitate recovery and achieve social, economic, emotional, and personal independence. Qualified by a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology, Education - Counseling, Rehabilitative Counseling, Social Work, or closely related discipline. A minimum of two years counseling experience working with people with mental illness chronic mentally ill adult population, experience working with people who have substance abuse and/or dependence is strongly preferred. LICSW is also required.
