Job Description

The Department of Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgery is seeking a full time nonacademic BC/BE General Thoracic surgeon to partner with established General Thoracic surgeon.In addition, theDepartment consists of 4 Cardiothoracic Surgeons that primarily perform cardiac procedures, 4 Vascular surgeons, 6 APPs, and 1 dedicated general thoracic APP.The candidate will join a growing practice, which focuses on lung, esophageal, mediastinal and chest wall malignancies through the St. Lukes Cancer Institute, benign thoracic disease, and common and uncommon thoracic conditions.The ideal candidate should have a strong interest and ability in growing the esophageal/foregut aspect of this practice, both benign and malignant conditions.Minimally invasive thoracic skills required with interest in robotic approaches to pulmonary, mediastinal and foregut.



Candidates must have demonstrated ability to work cooperatively and collegially to provide optimal multidisciplinary care for patients.This position has the opportunity to participate in research through a cancer research consortium involving Oregon and Washington Cancer centers and basic science research through Boise State University.There are teaching opportunities with medical students and residents from (WWMI) and Idahos recently founded Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine.
