Job Description
Baptist Health Medical Group, a growing network of more than 200 of the regions most highly regarded physicians employed by Baptist Health South Florida, is seeking a Palliative care physician. This is a unique and exciting career opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team, including a wide network of primary care physicians and medical and surgical specialists.
Reporting to the Palliative Care Program Director, you will be responsible for the provision of Palliative Care Consultations within the hospitals as well as supervisory responsibilities for the ARNPs dedicated to the Palliative Care Team.
Duties will include consulting with the attending physician and the Interdisciplinary Team to establish a written plan of care at intervals specified in the plan; facilitating access to appropriate supportive care services; weekly participation in interdisciplinary team meetings to review active cases; full and appropriate documentation of patient care services to support professional billing for these services; and participation in on-call coverage with the interdisciplinary team.
The preferred candidate will be an experienced physician board certified or eligible in Hospice/Palliative Medicine. Candidate must be a US licensed physician and/or have current Florida state medical license and in good standing with medical board.
