Nemours Childrens Hospital in Orlando, Florida is seeking a Pediatric Rheumatologist. This is a rare opportunity to enhance and expand pediatric rheumatology through clinical patient care, education and research. The ideal candidate should have outstanding clinical skills and will provide clinical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Candidates should have excellent teaching skills and will contribute to the education of adult Rheumatology Fellows through our partnership with the University of Central Florida as well as pediatric residents and medical students. Experience in Quality Improvement and/or clinical research is desired. Academic appointment at University of Central Florida will be commensurate with academic accomplishments and experience.

Qualified candidates will be:

Board Certified/Eligible in Pediatric Rheumatology

Able to obtain a clear and active Florida Medical License

The Division of Rheumatology at NCH consists of a Pediatric Rheumatologist, experienced Nurse Practitioner and additional nursing support. We have a unique partnership with Peds Academy through University of Central Florida which provides multidisciplinary care with educational, emotional and therapy support in our Childhood Arthritis Clinic. Inpatient clinical activities and the majority of outpatient care is conducted at Nemours Childrens Hospital. Outpatient care is also provided at satellite clinics throughout Central Florida where we strive to provide the highest quality of comprehensive care to large, diverse population of patients with pediatric rheumatic disease. The Division is actively involved in both Quality and clinical research endeavors and are active in CARRA and PR-COIN. There are currently 7 pediatric rheumatologists in our Health System and we partner our Quality Improvement work within the Nemours Childrens Health System as well as collaborate with our colleagues in Delaware and Pensacola.
