Central Maine Healthcare is looking for an experienced Wound Care Nurse Practitioner with 2+ years of experience for this per diem opportunity.

The Nurse Practitioner functions as a generalist andisaccountable for thecoordination of care and management of patients with acute and chronic wounds, fistulas, pressure ulcers, ostomies, continence issues, and other states of impaired skin integrity and works to improve clinical outcomes. The WOC Nurse Practitioner has expert skills and is a leader in coordination of resources to facilitate achievement of health and wellness at an optimum level for each patient by establishing standards of care based on evidence-based practice, and clinical competencies to meet patient needs. The WOC Advanced Practice Registered Nurse provides consults with recommendations and application of treatment related to wound, skin and ostomy management.

Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License in the State of Maine or eligibility to receive in the State of Maine
Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program
National Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or certification eligible
Specialty Certification in wound care awarded by a nationally accredited certifying body (e.g. CWCN, CWON, CWOCN)
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required
Current ACLS Certification preferred
Current DEA with no restriction
Strong computer skills, including EMR/EHR
