Nemours is seeking a RN-Ambulatory (Cardiology)/FULL-TIME, M-F to join our Nemours Children's Hospital team in Orlando, Florida.

Located in Orlando, Fla., Nemours Childrens Hospital is the newest addition to the Nemours integrated healthcare system. Our 100-bed pediatric hospital also features the areas only 24-hour Emergency Department designed just for kids as well as outpatient pediatric clinics including several specialties previously unavailable in the region. A hospital designed by families for families, Nemours Childrens Hospital blends the healing power of nature with the latest in healthcare innovation to deliver world-class care to the children of Central Florida and beyond. In keeping with our goal of bringing Nemours care into the communities we serve, we also provide specialty outpatient care in several clinics located throughout the region.

This position is responsible for the following:
- Providing nursing care in one of the Ambulatory Care areas (i.e. hospital and satellite clinics) as well as ensure that quality procedural care is provided for the patient population in the hospital and procedure rooms. This registered nurse will also be counted as staff and will provide the additional knowledge and experience necessary for cardiology procedures.
- Providing nursing care in partnership with the child and family that is individualized to meet the child or familys unique needs and situation.
- Accountable and responsible for the coordination and management of a designated group of patients in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
- Assessing, evaluating and developing nursing plan considering the patient and familys individual, cultural, ethnic and religious values and beliefs.
- Delivering care based on family centered care principles in collaboration with other medical professionals.
- Evaluating nursing care on an ongoing basis and revising the plan of care as appropriate.
- Verifies availability of all supplies required for procedural activity.
- Supervises use and handling of supplies to decrease mishandling and breakage.
- Supervises care and cleanliness of equipment and supplies to ensure good working condition. Ensures compliance with all aspects of patient safety and infection control.
- Assures all aspects of patient care are performed in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.


Job Requirements
- BSN required. Will consider candidate currently enrolled in BSN program.
- Current and valid RN license in the state of Florida required.
- Minimum one (1) year of experience as a PediatricRN required, Cardiology or critical care preferred.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
- Valid American Heart Association BLS Certification required upon hire; BLS certification must be valid for 90 days post start date.
- PALS Certification within six (6) months of hire date.
