Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Geriatrics fellowship trained Physician to serve as Medical Director of our growing Geriatric service line in Lewiston, Maine

CMHC's geriatric service currently provides nursing home and assisted living facility care with 2 physicians and 2 APP's, with increase in demand to grow quickly. In addition, CMHC would like to expand services to inpatient hospital coverage utilizing evidence-based care models. We are seeking an individual to provide direct patient care, medical oversight and leadership to further develop our program. This position will be responsible for the coordination of clinical and administrative tasks associated with program growth, process improvement initiatives and quality measures of the service line.

About Our Community:

Bridgton Region: Bridgton is a town in Cumberland County, Maine; a resort area in Maines Lake Region and home to Bridgton Academy, a private preparatory school. The town is nestled among many of the states most scenic lakes and offers a variety of year-round outdoor recreation activities, as well as easy access to some of the areas most significant historical and cultural sites, as well as the Atlantic coast beaches. Ski enthusiasts, in particular, will love this area for its ski slopes these unique ski slopes, created by the townspeople in the 1930s, spell the word LOVE.

Rumford Region: A beautiful, rural area, the town is located in west-central Maines Oxford County and is surrounded by forests, mountains, rivers, and lakes. This area boasts many recreational opportunities for boating, swimming and fishing; and its also home to the largest waterfall east of Niagara. The business district of the town is located on The Island located between the Androscoggin River and the canals. The Island features restaurants and retail stores along with the local government offices, Post Office and banking institutions.
