Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients, families using nursing interventions in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status. Essential duties include Patient documentation, Direct patient care, assessment; Medication administration, Discharge planning, community resource referral and education, actively participates in the quality improvement process. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients, customers. Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers. Takes responsibility for self development and supports a learning environment. Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values. Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies, ie. Stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients.

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

One (1) year of inpatient RN experience is required. Prefer candidates that have OB/Womens Health experience.

New Grad RNs or RNs with less than 1 year nursing experience will not be considered for this position.

Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice. Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (i.e. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.

Education Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of Diploma/Associates Degree in nursing from accredited program.

License Requirements:

Registered nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio.
CPR certified in 90 days.
