Associate Medical Director(Senior Physician)
Facility Summary:
Hubert H. Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center is an outpatient health center located in South LA and is part of DHS Ambulatory Care Network. We provide primary care in a patient-centered medical home (PCMH) model for adult and pediatric patients, with a total empanelment of over 40,000 patients. We offer specialty care services including womens health, behavioral health, dermatology, dentistry, physical therapy, optometry, ophthalmology, endocrinology, and HIV care. Humphrey also has an urgent care clinic. Our on-site ancillary services include laboratory, diagnostic radiology, pharmacy, and patient access services. As part of the larger DHS network, Humphrey is connected to County hospitals and medical centers for additional specialty, surgical, inpatient, and emergency care services. In addition to clinical care, Humphrey maintains a strong focus on continuous quality improvement, social determinants of health, community partnerships, and health equity.
Position Summary:
The Associate Medical Director at Humphrey will oversee all clinical operations and be part of the Executive Leadership Team, working closely with the Director, Nursing Director, and Assistant Administrator. Clinical oversight will include primary care, specialty care, and urgent care services. Among other responsibilities, the Associate Medical Director will be responsible for leading PCMH Staff Meetings, Population Health efforts, and Behavioral Health Integration. The Associate Medical Director will help with review and implementation of clinical workflows, template and panel management, quality improvement activities, and staff development. The Associate Medical Director will report directly to the facility Director and will supervise the clinical leads for primary, specialty, and urgent care as well as designated administrative staff.
Requirements:
Meet all qualifications to be a DHS Senior Physician.
Have prior experience in primary care leadership.
Have prior experience with and a strong understanding of the Integrated Behavioral Health model.
Have prior experience in leading quality/process improvement efforts to address clinical and operational performance metrics.
Have prior experience with staff supervision and managing teams.
