Seeking Hematology/Oncology Physician to Build new Oncology Program in Meridian, MS

Rush Health Systems, Meridian, MS: Our vision for Rush Health Systems is to be the premier healthcare provider in East Central MS and West AL. We recently partnered with Ochsner Health out of New Orleans to enhance our services and grow additional programs, including building an Oncology program. Through this partnership, we are implementing Epic throughout our health system which will be fully operational in May 2021. In addition, we have partnered with Ochsner to provide telemedicine capability and services at all our hospitals, with more services being added later this year. Through our relationship with Ochsner, we will have access to their Virtual Tumor Board, which will assist us in building a strong Oncology program at Rush in 2022.

Rush is an integrated non-profit health system comprised of a 215-bed hospital with a closed 23-bed ICU and a 49-bed LTAC located in Meridian. Our specialists are represented in a medical office building conveniently connected to the main hospital. We serve over 350,000 patients across 8 counties. We employ approximately 200 providers and represent more than 30 medical specialties and sub-specialties, making Rush the largest private employer in the region.

In addition to what we have in Meridian, our network extends to surrounding areas in West AL and East Central MS and consists of 22 family practice clinics and 5 critical access hospitals. With Rush owning the majority of the family practice business in the region, a new physician can capitalize on a robust primary care referral base.

As our services expand and several members of our medical staff prepare for retirement, we are committed to recruiting young physician leaders that want to help shape the future of healthcare in our community. In addition to the existing patient base, the infrastructure exists to establish an aggressive practice quickly, including a skilled, experienced staff, administrative support and technologically advanced equipment.

Call limited to 10 days per month and no night call

Financial Overview
Competitive base salary with a wRVU model
Sign-on bonus of $25,000 - $50,000 (negotiable)
Loan Repayment/Stipend package (between $100-$150K)
