Family Medicine Physician - PRN

Ascension St. Vincent is seeking a Family Medicine Physician for our Primary Care Center in Indianapolis. Our ideal candidate will have excellent precepting skills with a desire to guide our Family Medicine Residents in decision making, prioritization and common disease management.Additionally, our chosen candidate will have a heart for working with an underserved patient population (newborn to geriatric). Areas of concentration include: inpatient adult medicine, obstetrics, newborns, and ambulatory family medicine.

Overview:

* Strong base of knowledge about urgent medical issues that residents need to consider for various
presenting complaints
* Good Athena EMR skills for navigating the chart, efficient charting and knowledge of proper coding
to teach interns and residents
* Basic procedure skills for microscopy, GYN exam, EKG interpretation, simple skin biopsy, simple
laceration repair
* Management of Incision and Drainage are expected
* Experience in office prenatal care, more advanced office procedures, point of care ultrasound, OMT,
casting/splinting and joint injections are preferred

Practice Highlights:

* Office Hours: M-F 8:15am-12:15pm, Afternoon Clinic 1pm-5pm
* OB /L&D Call coverage: negotiable
* Expected patient office volume: 20-25 patients per day
* Expected hospital patient volume: 0-2 Postpartum patients and 0-3 newborns
