Telehealth Physician Monday-Friday 8am-5pm PST

The Alignment Virtual Care Center is a collaborative approach to providing patients telehealth services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is intended to provide support for Alignment Healthcare patients by being available to address any concern at any time. This program provides patients with medical and social support through virtual visit when they need it, with the goal of preventing unnecessary hospitalizations, health complications, and unmanaged disease progression that can occur when timely clinical interventions are not provided or are not accessible. The virtual care center program is offered to eligible patients at no cost to them.
The Physician will work closely with advance practice providers, social workers, case managers, nutritionists, and other members of our health care team. They will also participate in multidisciplinary conferences that focus on the frailest members. The Physician will have access to advanced technology, including a robust home monitoring system, Allscripts EMR, and a proprietary decision support tool that synthesizes data from a variety of sources into actionable alerts that drive care.
General Duties/Responsibilities (May include but are not limited to):
Practice is clinical; additional duties may include but are not limited to:
Provide virtual telehealth services. Speak with patients over the phone and video to complete patient examinations, assessments, gather important clinical history, diagnose, and provide appropriate clinical guidance or treatment.
Manage a virtual patient panel, complete Medicare Annual Wellness visits, and meet quality benchmarks for patient care.
Provide strategic and operational direction for the delivery of performance based medical management.
Analyze and report business performance data to stakeholders and senior management
Participate in managing all clinical divisions within the region.
Work seamlessly and effectively with the non-clinical departments within the organization.
Maintain a customer-driven passion for excellence and commitment to innovation and implementation of ideas that improve the healthcare of the patient population.
Execute and implement timely and high-quality decisions.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Minimum Experience:
a. 2 years of experience as an Internist or Family Practice clinician, preferred
b. 1-3 years of managed care experience preferred
c. Basic understanding of the UM/QM process preferred
2. Education/Licensure:
MD./ D.O.
Completion of residency program in the United States
Board Certification (Must, within 6 months of start)
Internal Medicine or Family Medicine trained
Medical license in the state which you will be practicing
f. Physician must obtain licenses in CA, AZ, NV, and NC. (Must, within 6 months of start)
g. NPI Number (Must, upon start)
h. DEA Number (Must, within 6 months of start)
3. Other:
Substantial knowledge across medical subspecialties
Clinical confidence and friendly bedside manner
Flexibility and willingness to learn new systems and processes
Strong communication skills
Proven background in financial and clinical data analysis
Remote work environment must include sufficient internet bandwidth to support all required systems for VCC
