Job Description

The Department of Surgery at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is seeking an academic surgeon for a full-time faculty position within the Division of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

The position requires a DDS/DMD degree from a CODA-accredited U.S. or Canadian dental school and completion of a CODA-approved oral and maxillofacial surgery residency program. The candidate must be board- certified or board eligible by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and be eligible for an unrestricted California dental or medical license. An ideal candidate would have dual degree status, a strong interest in research and surgical education.

Harbor-UCLA Medical Center is a 531-bed, Los Angeles County Level I trauma center located in southwest Los Angeles and serves as a major teaching hospital for the UCLA School of Medicine. Responsibilities include clinical and surgical patient, didactic education and clinical teaching of residents and research. The position includes responsibilities at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and Martin Luther King Jr Ambulatory Care Center. The candidate should have an interest in major oral and maxillofacial surgery with a particular interest in trauma management, is expected to actively participate in the clinical and research activities within the division, and be actively involved in resident training.
