Advanced Practice Provider- Orthopedic Walk-in Clinic-Amherst, MA

We have an exciting opportunity to bring a new physician assistant or nurse practitioner to our practice, Cooley Dickinson Medical Group Orthopedics and Sports Medicine. This position will be located in the recently opened orthopedic walk-in clinic in Amherst, MA

Our group is composed of five orthopedic surgeons, a physiatrist, and supported by five APPs. Our group's specialties include Sports Medicine, Shoulder Surgery, Hand Surgery, Total Joint Replacement, Arthroscopic Joint Preservation Surgery; we also have a non-surgical specialist on-site.

This role would oversee the orthopedic walk-in clinic in Amherst MA. The clinic offers walk-in, no appointment necessary services for acute injuries that have occurred within the last two weeks. The clinic will help diagnose and treat a variety of acute injuries, including Sprains and strains, sports injuries, foot, ankle, knee, and hip injuries, hand, forearm, elbow, and shoulder injuries. As well as fractures and dislocations, pediatric injuries and infected nails.

The incumbent will join an experienced physician assistant and orthopedic surgeon who are also based out of our Amherst, MA site. This site is co-located with primary care, OBGYN, and Midwifery, as well as Urgent Care. We have radiology services on-site too. This clinic location is located two miles from the University of Massachusetts flagship campus. Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 to 5 years of orthopedic experience. Experience in an acute care/urgent care setting is also preferred.
