Job Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist / Wake Forest School of Medicine in Winston-Salem, North Carolina is seeking an outstanding BC/BE AAGL fellowship-trained Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgeon to join the growing section of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery in an open-rank faculty position. The Division of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery is a high volume referral-based practice and includes two full-time surgeons with additional outpatient advanced practice providers. The MIGS Division has close clinical collaboration with Reproductive Endocrinology, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reproductive Surgery, Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and Gynecologic Ultrasound.

The MIGS practice provides care for complex benign gynecologic conditions, with an emphasis of advanced minimally invasive surgery, including laparoscopic, robotic-assisted, and advanced hysteroscopic procedures. We perform fertility sparing surgeries and care for patients with advanced endometriosis in collaboration with our reproductive medicine colleagues. We also provide consultative evaluation for medical, interventional, or surgical management of gynecologic pain conditions.

The successful candidate will join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which includes over 50 providers, 24 residents and 12 fellows, providing care to patients at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem and the surrounding communities. Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center is a 900-bed tertiary care facility located in Winston-Salem and serves as the anchor for the Wake Forest Baptist Health System. The system currently serves as a referral center for women across North Carolina, eastern Tennessee, and southern Virginia.
