The Palliative Care (PC) Program at MedStar Health is seeking a full-time Palliative Care Physician Leader to join our expanding team. The MedStar Health Palliative Care program has an integrated patient-centric interdisciplinary model of care distributed throughout the Baltimore- Washington region. With over 50 team members, MedStar Health has one of the largest palliative care programs in the country. As a MedStar Palliative Care Physician Leader at the system level, you will co-chair the Palliative Care Clinical Practice Council and serve as lead palliative medicine physician for MedStar Medical Group. Clinical council responsibilities include collaboratively leading initiatives focused on developing consistent clinical pathways, outcomes, quality measures, research, and strategic innovation among all MedStar Palliative Care physicians. In your role within the Medical Group, the PC Medical Directors at the nine acute care hospitals will report directly to this position and you will have responsibility for compensation plans and physician development. The goal at MedStar Health is to provide patients with easy access to highly qualified physicians focused on an excellent patient experience while delivering world class quality care.

The candidate will be the onsite Medical Director and enjoy providing clinical care at MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center. MFSMC has a growing interdisciplinary consultation team including a physician, nurse practitioner, clinical pharmacist and social worker.

Qualifications:
Must be board eligible or board certified in Palliative Medicine
Must have board certification in primary specialty
Palliative Medicine Fellowship training preferred
Background and interest in research and education
10+ years of experience in clinical practice
Experience in a leadership role preferred
