Job Description
MercyOne Iowa Heart Center is seeking a fellowship-trained BE/BC Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join its established and growing program. Iowa Heart offers competitive compensation including base salary, sign-on bonus, 401k match, and paid malpractice.

MercyOne Iowa Heart Center was founded in 1970 and is one of the largest cardiovascular practices in the Country. With 52 Physicians on staff, services are offered in General Cardiology, Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Advanced Heart Failure, Cardiovascular Surgery, Vascular Surgery, Preventative Cardiology and Adult Congenital Heart Disease. Iowa Heart Center has an accredited CV Fellowship program (6 Fellows), first accredited Chest Pain Center in the region, advanced imaging including cardiac MRI and cardiac CT, and Joint Commission accredited VAD program. Iowa Heart Center has 11 primary office locations and attends 30+ outreach facilities spanning much of the state of Iowa. We are an active clinic research department. Recently MercyOne Iowa Heart Center has been honored in recent publications and received recognition stemming from involvement in the Midwest Consortium. The Consortium is composed of several large cardiology sites and provides a comprehensive database with a broad geographic representation of 20,000 consecutive patients. MercyOne was cited in Incidence and Long-Term Outcomes of Stroke Patients Presenting with ST-Segment Elevation-Myocardial Infarction: Insight From the Midwest STEMI Consortium, Journal of the American Heart Association and the Initial Findings From the North American COVID-19 Myocardial Infarction Registry, Journal of the American College of Cardiology. The 32nd Annual Scripps Interventional Cardiology meeting recognized the North American COVID-19 ST-Segment Elevation Myocardial Infarction (NACMI) Registry as one of the Top 10 Interventional trials/publications of the year.
