Job Description
AmeriWound, LLC is hiring physicians and mid-levels, of all specialties, to provide wound care services. No wound care experience required; we certify you in 2-3 weeks. Providers round at client facilities in their territory.

Practicing primarily, but not limited to, skilled nursing facilities (SNFs), assisted living facilities (ALFs), long-term care and rehabilitation hospitals as per the schedule provided by our respective territory Regional Manager (RM). Physician follows the weekly facility patient visit schedule coordinated by the RM, the AmeriWound Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) department and each facility.
PRIOR WOUND CARE EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED.

Our wound certified educators train, educate and guide our providers and client facilities on the most efficacious wound care treatments and follow up. As a result, client facilities realize improved wound healing results, improved survey scores and NTA reimbursement under PDPM.
Highlights:
Hiring both part-time 2 days/week and full-time 4-5 days/week (benefits for FT only)
Hours: Monday-Friday ~7am to 4pm; no call, nights, weekends, or holidays
Uncapped compensation, W-2; Monthly income variable per provider - based on documentation, number of patient assessments per month, how many facilities, etc.
All instruments are provided by AmeriWound, such as, debridement kits & hurricane spray. Facilities provide antibiotics, dressings, and treatment carts. Wound care/treatment nurse to round with you at each facility.
Malpractice provided for both full and part-time physicians, mileage reimbursement based on standard IRS guidelines

Responsibilities:
Round weekly or twice weekly at assigned facilities within territory
Diagnose patient conditions via physical examination and/or telemedicine
Perform medical procedures i.e. debridements as necessary
Prescribe dressings, medications, and treatments
Communicate and collaborate on findings and treatments with facility clinical staff
Communicate information to patients regarding diagnosis and treatment goals
Document on each patient visit in company EMR/EHR system and maintain patient medical records on company assigned laptop computer
Assure that documentation on diagnoses, measurements, treatments, are in sync with facility documentation and information
Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities as necessary
Qualifications:
MD, DO, PA, NP
Board Certified/Board Eligible
Active, unrestricted state medical license
DEA license
Valid driver license
Previous/current experience as a physician across various specialties
Advanced knowledge of treatment and drug interactions
Ability to build and maintain rapport with facility staff and patients
Proficiency documenting EMR/EHR w/ strong attention to detail
