The creative individual in this role will help shape the strategy as well as design and implement the clinical and operational aspects of our Hospital in The Home program, a foundational piece of our pioneering model of care. This leader will be a vital part of a team building a historic new way of serving patients and their health needs.
This exciting physician leadership opportunity will focus on our Hospital in the Home Program (HiTH). This innovative clinical service treats patients with acute illnesses significant enough to require hospital services while delivered in the comfort of their own home. In this role, the physician will work with a care team that includes advanced practice providers, registered nurses, virtual care coordinators, technology professionals and other allied health providers to deliver hospital level acute care in a patients home.
The medical director will be responsible for the strategy refinement and identification of new patient populations, implementation of services, and execution of tactics resulting in program development and growth, patient access, value, quality throughout the MetroHealth System. Responsibilities include medical oversight of a team to deliver care both in patients homes and virtually, medical decision-making, clinical documentation, team collaboration, patient education and communication. The medical director will provide leadership as well as direct patient care within the program.
Applicants must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or Emergency Medicine and eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio. The ideal candidate is a creative problem solver with the desire to innovate while practicing in a novel clinical setting. You will be focused on delivering an exceptional, high-quality patient experience, protecting the well-being of each patient under your care. You will team with others by acting with integrity, being accountable and collaborating both virtually and in-person.
The MetroHealth System is an integrated health system with an acute care hospital housing a Level I Trauma and Burn Center, a skilled nursing facility and more than 25 satellite locations throughout northeastern Ohio. The MetroHealth System is redesigning its campus with an innovative transformation plan to exceed the ever-changing needs of patients and programs for the community. This billion-dollar transformation is the largest public construction project in Cuyahoga County and one of the largest in the nation.
