Unique opportunity - PM&R job share - large integrated system

Job Description

CoxHealth is actively recruiting a PMR physician to a unique opportunity. The current PMR doctor has a busy established practice that includes both inpatient coverage of a highly ranked 13-bed acute rehab unit (average census around 9) and an outpatient musculoskeletal clinic. The acute rehab unit is primarily stroke, hip fracture and debility patients with the occasional SCI or TBI. There is medical coverage by the hospitalist team. Outpatient work is very procedure heavy with palpation and ultrasound guided injections. Candidates will need to be proficient with the use of ultrasound. There is currently is no EMG, spine or chronic pain management as part of this practice.

The current doctor is looking for someone to share this practice with by alternating 4-8 week rotations on and off that are coordinated by the two doctors at their discretion. This position would be ideal for someone who wants to work hard and be productive while they are on duty and then have plenty of free time when off duty to travel, spend time with family, pursue other interests, or just enjoy life. RVU production, pay, and benefits are all comparable to a traditional full time position.
