Job Description

The Medical College of Wisconsin, Division of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery has an opening for an academic focused surgeon. This position is being recruited at the Assistant or Associate Professor level.



Position Requirements/Details

Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care

Eligible for medical licensure in Wisconsin

Interest in pursuing a career in academics

Demonstration of research productivity



The Trauma service admits over 3,400 traumas per year with 20% penetrating trauma. Our team also handles all Emergency General Surgery and exclusively runs our Surgical ICU. We have a cutting edge surgical critical care program and AAST approved Acute Care Surgery fellowship with a current group of 15 Trauma/Acute Care Surgeons. The clinical schedule provides flexibility and ensures time for academic pursuits. The Division provides a robust research infrastructure that supports clinical faculty.
