Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Job Description

We are searching for Neonatal Nurse Practitioners to join our new hospital in North Austin, slated to open in February 2024. In this position, you'll provide health maintenance for well newborns and infants, episodic care for ill infants, and comprehensive care for newborns and infants with chronic conditions.

The North Austin Campus will be a 52 bed, 365,000 square foot hospital for children and women. The hospital and its 170,000 square foot adjacent outpatient building will be designed, equipped, and staffed exclusively to provide care in more than 25 areas of specialty care for children and women. North Austin facilities include emergency center rooms, outpatient exam rooms, radiology rooms, operating rooms, acute care beds, pediatric, cardiovascular, and neonatal intensive care units, as well as womens services and a fetal center.

-12 bed, Level III NICU to become Level IV
-24 hour shifts
-2 years NNP experience preferred

Qualifications:
-Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Childrens, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
-Master of Science in Nursing
-Current valid license as registered nurse in the state of Texas
-Current NNP-BC certification from the National Certification Corp (NCC) Board of Nurse Examiners
-Full authorization to practice by the Texas Board of Nursing
-Two (2) years experience in the applied specialty
-AHA/AAP hospital-based instructor for Neonatal Resuscitation Program
