Job Description

We are looking for a family medicine physician with a servant heart to add to our team. We are a 25-bed critical access hospital with a provider-based rural health clinic, located in a rural community, therefore patient care is across the continuum of life. Physicians are highly respected and have an opportunity to leave a legacy within the facility and town as we continue to grow.

Typical work week would include seeing patients 4 days in the rural health clinic and one or two nights of ER call.

Job duties include:
- seeing clinic patients
- Nurse Practitioner oversight
- *ER call (we average less than 1 ER patient per day. Providers are required to respond within 30 minutes of notification of an ER patient
- Rounding on inpatients and swing bed patients when on call

$300,000 base salary to include 7 days of call per month (salary based on experience)
ER call is paid by the hour
Quarterly production bonus based on RVUs.
Signing bonus of $30,000

Community Description:
Our small town is in the hearth of Northeast Kansas. As of the 2010 census, the city population was 682; as of 2018, it was estimated to have decreased to 651. It is the second most populous town within its county.
The city is primarily agricultural, and the surrounding countryside is filled with small family farms. The area is also a popular destination for deer hunting. Named after the founders German hometown, the town is a traditional German community with strong German cultural influences. The local area is home to numerous other German communities, all baring familiar German names.
Our town is served by the USD 223 school district and has a preschool, public elementary and high school, and a private Catholic elementary school. There is also a public library inside of city hall.
