Job Description

Baptist Health System is seeking a BC/BE neurohospitalist to join our neurosciences team in San Antonio, Texas. The ideal candidate will cultivate a collaborative environment and thrive when providing care in a higher acuity population. Our neuroscience team includes neuroendovascular, outpatient neurology, and fellow neurohospitalist physicians. There is also access to neurosurgery throughout the health system.
Overview:
7 on/7 off schedule
Primary responsibility for inpatient neurologic/stroke care and consults
Collaborate with general and sub-specialty-trained neurologists system-wide
Well-trained support staff including APPs and Stroke Patient Navigators
Vascular training is a plus
Must be BC/BE in Neurology by ABPN/AOBNP

DNV-GL Primary Stroke Center Plus (Thrombectomy Capable Center) in network
1st Comprehensive Stroke system in San Antonio
Joint Commissions Primary Stroke Center Advanced Certification at all our hospitals the first hospital system in San Antonio to do so
24/7 neurosurgery coverage
CARF-accredited Acute Rehabilitation Centers
Experienced Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapists trained in inpatient and outpatient stroke rehabilitation
