Job Description
The Behavioral Health Program Manager (BHPM) operates in partnership with the Director of Mental Health and Substance Use Services (DMHSUS) and is responsible for the management of the Behavioral Health Program at the Community Health Centers of Burlington. This position provides administrative and clinical oversight to supervisees to ensure all services delivered are according to local, state, and federal laws and in compliance with contractual requirements. The Behavioral Health Program Manager ensures behavioral health patients receive high quality patient care.
Basic Qualifications
Education, Licensure, Experience:
-Master of Social Work Degree or PhD in one of the Behavioral Health sciences.
-Professionally licensed or the ability to become licensed in the State of Vermont.
-Minimum 3 years of licensed clinical practice experience, 5+ preferred.
-Experience and/or interest in integrated care is required.
-Education and experience in the addictions field required, or ability to acquire knowledge.
-Valid Drivers License
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
-Knowledge of human behavior, individual differences in ability, personality, interests, learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
-Thorough knowledge of mental health and substance use disorders assessment and diagnostic skills.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
-Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense; and to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (deductive and inductive reasoning).
-Ability to consider relative costs and benefits of potential actions.
-Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work, matching individual skill sets with departmental needs, conducting performance reviews.
-Proficiency in computer technology applicable to clinical operations
