PRACTICE OPPORTUNITY
McLaren Greater Lansing is recruiting a Core Family Medicine physician to join the Family Medicine GME program in Lansing, MI. This opportunity will allow the right candidate to grow and thrive in a family friendly atmosphere with supportive and experienced medical staff. This position requires an ability to work in a cooperative manner with the Practice Manager, Clinic Director, Program Director, and Director of Graduate Medical Education to ensure appropriate supervision of all resident-patient contacts and procedures performed in the clinic. This is a clinical patient care position, providing excellence in care of patients seen in the clinical setting, with additional responsibilities of education and supervision of medical students, interns, and family medicine residents. Experienced core faculty candidates preferred, and new graduates will also be considered. Any interested candidates must be board certified or eligible.

FACILITY HIGHLIGHTS
McLaren Greater Lansing is a tertiary teaching facility with 240 acute care beds, located in Lansing, Michigan on the southern edge of the Michigan State University campus. McLaren Greater Lansing moved to the new hospital building located at the new health care campus on March 6, 2022. Among its services are a Level III Trauma Center/Emergency Department, Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Institute, comprehensive cardiac programs, medical/surgical units, and state-of-the-art women and childrens health services including a modern birthing center. Also located at the healthcare campus is the Karmanos Cancer Institute at McLaren Greater Lansing and Outpatient Care Center. Residency programs are affiliated with Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, and the Statewide Campus System. Residencies include family medicine, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, general surgery, anesthesiology, and obstetrics/gynecology. Fellowships are offered in cardiology, hematology/oncology, gastroenterology, and pulmonary critical care. McLaren Greater Lansing also participates in a city wide residency programs in emergency medicine, neurology, urology, psychiatry, and physical and rehabilitation medicine.

McLaren Greater Lansing has broken ground on a new health care campus in Lansing, adjacent to Michigan State University, opening in early 2022. The campus will house a 240-bed state-of-the-art hospital, cancer center, ambulatory, and other facilities to support health care delivery, educational opportunities, and medical research.
