Job Description

Regional Health Center is seeking a full-time BE or BC internal medicine or family medicine physician to join our well-established hospitalist team. Position includes a competitive salary, access to the National Health Service Corp loan repayment program and paid time off benefit. Our Health Center has assembled a team of high-quality physicians and advanced practice providers who are known by our community as delivering exceptional care and services. Our hospital has a staffed Emergency Department with 24-hour physicians. Specialty services include cardiology, general surgery, and OB/GYN.?

DETAILED JOB SUMMARY

Our Team consists of three full-time physicians, two of whom alternate between seven-on seven-off twelve-hour shifts. The third full time physician provides administrative and additional patient coverage Monday through Friday. Nights are staffed by a mix of advanced practice providers and telehealth. The hospitalist who is on during the day provides on-call back up support at night if needed. There is also a full-time day advanced practice provider who covers additional patient coverage.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide high quality care for an average daily census around 15 and admit 2-4 per shift. Provide ICU and ventilator care. Procedures are optional. The hospitalist may manage observation, inpatient, ICU, rehab, and/or swing bed patients depending on the needs of the program.

The physician will remain current in issues concerning hospital medicine and quality improvement. In addition, chart documentation will be accurately completed in a timely manner and skills in the use of informational systems required for patient care is maintained.

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

MD/DO degree

Graduated from an accredited Internal Medicine or Family Medicine residency program

Board certified or eligible for certification in internal medicine or Family Medicine

Effective community skills

Licensed or eligible for licensure to practice medicine in Kansas

Recommended to have BLS/ACLS
