Associate Medical Director - Urgent Care Network

Job Description

Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking an Associate Medical Director for its rapidly growing market within the Houston Metro area.

Memorial Hermann-GoHealth Urgent Care provides a different type of Urgent Care experience for our dedicated providers who are doing the work they love. Our practice model brings together board-certified Physicians and Advanced Practitioners in innovative treatment centers, with the resources and support of Memorial Hermann behind them. We are the front door to quality connected care.

The Associate Medical Director (AMD) will collaborate with and report directly to the Medical Director with their time being split between 25% administrative and 75% clinical. In summary AMD will:

Assist in managing and directing all clinical services for their assigned urgent care centers and geographic region.
Be primarily responsible for the quality of care and all issues related to the clinical caregivers within their assigned geographic area.
Collaborate across and within regions to share resources, implement improvement initiatives, and optimize clinical, financial, operational and customer service performance.

Job Requirements:

M.D. or D.O. Degree from an accredited College of Medicine. Board Certified and licensed in the State of Texas.
Dual Certification in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics is preferred.
Board Certification in Family Medicine or Emergency Medicine will also be considered.
Administrative experience in adult and pediatric emergency medicine, urgent care, or related field, preferably in a major medical center or health system, required. 5 years clinical experience required.
Outstanding communication and management skills, and an ability to work collaboratively with GoHealth staff, management, health system partners, required.
Must possess recent experience in generally accepted and currently used methods and techniques.
