Job Description

The University of Rochester's affiliate hospital, Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville NY, is seeking a General Pediatrician to join its medical staff. We have an established group of 2 Pediatrics MDs and a PNP. We offer competitive compensation, generous benefits, and a UR faculty appointment w/ opportunities for teaching and/or research.

Our position includes a blend of outpatient clinic (M-F, 8AM-4:30PM) and call 1:3 rotation w/ our MDs and APPs. Call includes rounding on newborn patients @ JMH (350+ deliveries per year). Our hospital and network are a strong referral source for our practices, and include a great network of faculty colleagues and specialists to depend on.

The community of Wellsville is located just north of the NY-PA border, and about 85 miles southwest of Rochester, NY. Wellsville is a safe, family-friendly community w/ quiet neighborhoods, affordable home prices, public and private school districts, and recreational opportunities for all ages. The town's main street and downtown area are home to several unique small businesses, restaurants, a brewery, the David A Howe public library, and more. The area is close by to the Finger Lakes and Enchanted Mountain regions of Upstate NY w/ ample outdoor activity during all four seasons, for all activity levels.
