Job Description
This south central Kansas clinic is seeking a licensed APP to join our team of more 100 physicians and providers, and highly trained medical and ancillary personnel. Our mission is to maintain a culture of excellence by delivering to our patients the most advanced, timely and compassionate care. We offer 30 specialty areas and through multiple outreach clinics we provide care to patients from all over Kansas.
The APP provides primary care to patients acting as an assistant to physicians in the clinic following established standards and practices.
Essential Responsibilities:
Performs a complete physical exam and records findings. Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients.
Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed.
Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. Review patient records.
Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures.
Administers medications and injections according to physician direction. Sutures minor lacerations.
Interviews and advises patients regarding health and illness prevention. Recommends community resources to meet patient and family needs.
Instructs patient and family regarding medications and treatment instructions. Provides patient education.
Maintains and reviews patients records, charts, and other pertinent information. Posts tests and examination results.
Triage patient telephone calls and provides consultation.
Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
Performs related work as required.
Qualifications:
Two to five years of primary care experience preferred
Licensure as a PA is required. Can be a new graduate who is credentialed
Equivalent to a college degree and a professional certificate or a graduate degree
