Job Description
ChristianaCare is looking for a Pediatric Hospitalist to join our large, well established Pediatric Hospital Medicine (PHM) program. As a member of Christiana Pediatric Hospitalists (CPH), you will provide family-centered and evidence-based care to pediatric patients, at our practice at Bayhealth Kent and Sussex Campuses. Our hospitalists serve patients in multiple settings, including the inpatient pediatric unit, the newborn nursery, and the emergency department. This exciting opportunity also includes delivery coverage for high risk deliveries, with creative scheduling model to allow for longer periods of time off to help prioritize work-life balance. Candidates may be BC/BE in PHM and must be BC/BE in General Pediatrics.
Christiana Pediatric Hospitalists lead inpatient pediatric and newborn teaching for the Bayhealth Family Medicine Residency program, as well as Bayhealth-based medical students. CPH physicians also contribute to collaborative efforts to improve quality and safety for pediatric and newborn patients and serve leadership roles at our main and satellite campuses.
As the largest academic institution in the state, ChristianaCare Pediatric faculty will have the opportunity to teach Pediatric residents (Nemours Children's Hospital Delaware), Med-Peds residents, Family Medicine Residents and medical students (Sidney Kimmel Medical College at Thomas Jefferson University), in addition to physician assistant and nurse practitioner students. CPH physicians also contribute to collaborative efforts to improve quality and safety for pediatric and newborn patients and serve leadership roles at our main and satellite campuses.
