Pharmacy Technician

Southeast Georgia Health System has an opportunity for a Full Time Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team!

Summary: Fills routine orders for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals and performs related duties. Prepares and maintains computerized charges for patient's bill. Types labels. Demonstrates discretion, sound judgment and awareness of budgetary responsibilities.

What you will be responsible for:
Pulls medication from stock ensuring drug and amount match information on patient label.
Makes rounds, delivering medications and restocking automated dispensing cabinets. Reconciles discrepancies of automated dispensing cabinet charges.
Performs cart fill and stocks patients' matrix drawers.
Performs IV rounds and credits patient accounts appropriately.
Answers telephone, receiving and relaying messages as needed. Assures that no legend drug leaves the pharmacy without being physically checked by a licensed pharmacist.
Performs floor visits removing and updating medication in the automated dispensing cabinets.
Monitors overall inventory for outdates.

What you will need:
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
At least one (1) year of hospital or retail experience preferred.
Georgia State Board of Pharmacy Technician registration license and current certification from National Pharmacy Technician Certification Board, Inc. required.
Computer skills preferred. Exhibits positive interpersonal skills (customer service) as 75-80% of time is spent interacting with others

Registered Respiratory Therapist

Southeast Georgia Health System has an opportunity for a Full Time Respiratory Therapist to join our Respiratory Therapy team!

You will be responsible for:

Set up and administer intermittent respiratory therapy procedures, including IPPB, Chest PT, Incentive Spirometer, Hand held nebulizers, MDI and Oxygen therapy as prescribed by the physician and in accordance to standards set forth in the clinical practice guidelines.
Introduces and maintains airway access and stabilization. Set up and administer ventilator support via mechanical ventilation, CPAP, or BIPAP, as prescribed by the physician and in accordance with standards set forth in the clinical practice guidelines.
Performs arterial puncture according to standards set forth in the clinical practice guidelines.
Performs analysis of arterial, mixed venous, and capillary blood via existing equipment in a timely fashion. Follows current policy on how to handle specimens.
Initiates, maintains and operates all monitoring equipment, including pulse oximetry, end tidal carbon dioxide, peak flow meter, NIP manometers, and respirometers.
Able to troubleshoot all equipment. Documents all respiratory therapy records in a complete fashion, including all pertinent patient data.
Documentation to include participation in multidisciplinary notes and education flow sheets.
Demonstrates skill sufficient to assemble, install, disassemble, and clean all patient care monitor, devices, and instruments.

What you will need:

Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Current RCP license to practice in the State of Georgia.
Respiratory skills as defined by the clinical practice guidelines set forth by the AARC.
American Heart Association BLS and ACLS Certification required.

Surgical Technologist

Southeast Georgia Health System has an opportunity for a Surgical Technologist to join our team!

What you will be responsible for:
Functions as a scrub person during operative and other invasive procedures
assembling supplies and equipment required for the procedure;
preparing and organizing sterile supplies and instruments for the procedure;
performing accounting procedures in concert with the RN circulator;
assisting with placement of sterile drapes;
providing instruments and supplies to the surgical team during the procedure;
maintaining an organized sterile field;
ensuring sterility of the field and taking corrective actions as needed;
preparing sterile dressings.
Cleans and prepares surgical instruments for processing and transports them to the decontamination areas.
Assists with post procedure cleaning of the operative or other invasive procedure room and prepares room for subsequent patients.
Practices universal precautions and follows all infection control policies.
Participates in ongoing educational and competency verification activities applicable to scrub person activities.
Maintains privacy and confidentiality of individuals and health information.

What you will need:
Graduate of an accredited school or Surgical Technologist Program
One (1) year perioperative services experience preferred.
Certified Surgical Technologist, AHA BLS certification required.
Basic computer skills. Demonstrates patient confidentiality and exhibits positive interpersonal skills.
Demonstrates initiative in maintaining a current level of expertise.
