Neurocritical Care Critical Care: Neurological Intensive Care Physician Neurocritical Care Neuroscience institute Miami Valley Hospital Dayton , Ohio An exceptional, hospital based opportunity for a well-qualified BC/BE Neurological Intensivist with a special interest in stroke and management of neurologic and critically ill patients. This group will manage and staff the Neuro ICU and stepdown unit caring for patients with a full range of neurological and neurosurgical diseases. The candidate will thrive and excel in a team atmosphere and regard continuity of care as a cornerstone of patient management. There is an existing Stroke Service and Stroke team that work cooperatively with the neurological critical care service. The successful candidate will be a part of a team of excellent neurologists and neurosurgeons that comprise the WSU/PHP Neuroscience Institute. The Institute is a collaboration of the Boonshoft School of Medicine at WrightStateUniversity and Premier Health Partners, a large and successful multi-hospital system. This physician group includes Neurologist with subspecialties in vascular neurology, interventional neurology, neurological intensive care, epilepsy, movement disorders, neuro-endocrinology, and memory disorders. The group also includes neurosurgeons with various subspecialties including functional and epilepsy neurosurgery. The Institute has an active basic science research program with active funding. Collaboration with these researchers is encouraged. Academic rank at Boonshoft School of Medicine is commensurate with academic achievements. Involvement in student and resident education is part of the commitment of those involved in the Institute.
