Pulmonology/Critical Care Physician

Job Description

The Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care and Allergy seeks an exceptional pulmonary and critical care physician with expertise in advanced diagnostic and therapeutic procedures including advanced bronchoscopy, EBUS, navigational bronchoscopy and pleural procedures. The 18 member division is part of NorthShore University HealthSystem Medical Group (NorthShore), the principal teaching affiliate of the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Internal Medicine, be board eligible or certified in Pulmonary and Critical Care and havesuccessfully performed hundreds of advanced Pulmonology procedures. Completion of a formal Interventional Pulmonology fellowship is desired, but is not a requirement.


The successful candidate will enjoy referrals from the Pulmonary/Critical Care group and the medical groups primary care physicians as well as the strong support from the Divisions of Oncology and Thoracic Surgery. This important position will help NorthShore expand a regional lung center in Chicagos north suburbs. The candidate must have a strong patient care orientation.
