Full-Time Neurology (Neurohospitalist) Opening – Vassar Brothers Medical Center, Poughkeepsie, NY (75 miles north of NYC) Vassar Brothers Medical Center (VBMC), located in Poughkeepsie, New York, just 75 minutes north of New York City, has an excellent opportunity for an employed, full-time Neurologist to join its growing Neurosciences Program. The ideal candidate will be a well-trained, board-certified/eligible physician with subspecialty interests in vascular/stroke neurology. The Neurology Division is part of a comprehensive neurosciences program, including Neurosurgery, Interventional Neuroradiology, and Stroke. Potential for 7 on 7 off schedule. Per diem opportunities available as well. We offer a highly competitive compensation package, including base salary plus incentives and allowances for CMEs and dues expenses as well as a relocation stipend. VBMC is a 365-bed facility that has served New York’s Mid-Hudson Valley since 1887. Overlooking the beautiful Hudson River in the city of Poughkeepsie, NY, VBMC has established centers of excellence in cardiac services, cancer care and women and children’s health services. This is an extraordinary time for VBMC with new ACGME-accredited residency programs and planning is underway for the Marist-Nuvance Health Medical School. Additionally, construction is underway for a new state-of-the-art patient pavilion which features all private rooms, opening this Spring. VBMC is also now part of Nuvance Health.
