JOB SUMMARY Physicians at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health provide a coordinated and holistic approach to care through our patient centered medical home model. We believe that care must incorporate all needs of the patient. This includes medically necessary before and after care services, as well as access to socio-economic resources in the community, to ensure their wellbeing as the ultimate path to recovery. Our belief in this type of approach allows our physicians the opportunity to participate in clinical and organizational improvement huddles, committees and other initiatives, providing opportunities to innovate within their own practices as well as the overarching health system. Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a BC/BE Rheumatologist to join their high-volume practice in Lancaster PA due to growth. Our rheumatology practice offers diagnosis, treatment and management of all arthritis and rheumatologic diseases for adults ages 18 and over.The practice is compiled of six physicians and one physician assistant who are specialists in rheumatology. Our providers currently practice at the main office in Lancaster, PA, and offer convenience for patients at three other specialty locations in Lancaster County. The practice collaborates as a team in conjunction with Lancaster General Hospital s medical infusion center and the Ann B. Barshinger Cancer Institute infusion center, as well as the Osteoporosis Testing Facility. The LGHP Arthritis & Rheumatology providers work a typical outpatient Monday through Friday schedule, with an on-call schedule of one out of every seven weeks. Rheumatology consultation service is offered by our physicians at Lancaster General Hospital during the on-call week.As a member of this team, our rheumatologists have the chance to collaborate closely with other Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health physicians to develop personalized treatment/chronic care management to improve the lives of patients with rheumatic diseases. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Medicine (Allopathic/Osteopathic) Completion of an accredited Rheumatology fellowship Possess or able to obtain an unrestricted PA Medical License Board Certified or Board Eligible Desire to become certified in Densitometry PENN MEDICINE LGH OFFERS A COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS PACKAGE: We believe that the best care for our patients starts with the best care for our employees.
