Job Description

Breast Oncologist Lakeland Regional Health is seeking a Fellowship Trained Breast Surgeon to care for the Lakeland Community at the Lakeland Regional Health Hollis Cancer Center. The Lakeland Regional Health Breast Oncology program is accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC). The current volume exceeds 2,000 procedures annually, with significant growth opportunities. The program also includes a plastic/reconstructive surgeon and a nurse navigator. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to multidisciplinary oncology care, possessing strong collaborative skills and a track record of clinical and academic accomplishment in a high volume practice. Physician must be board certified in General Surgery and fellowship trained through a certified breast surgery program. About the Lakeland Regional Health Hollis Cancer Center Lakeland Regional Health Hollis Cancer Center provides specialized cancer care services, including medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, gynecologic oncology, surgical oncology and urologic oncology. The Hollis Cancer Center’s 13 board-certified physicians and team of clinical and research professionals use state-of-the-art technology to provide the best possible outcomes for the patients. Currently, the Hollis Cancer Center is participating in 36 clinical trials and its research over the years has helped to bring 50 FDA-approved chemotherapy and biologic medications to the marketplace. The Lakeland Regional Health Hollis Cancer Center is accredited with commendation by the Commission on Cancer. The facility completed a renovation and expansion project that increased the building to over 82,000 sq ft when completed in 2016. The Hollis Cancer Center will have a total of 40 private chemotherapy stations with lakefront views, expanded pharmacy and lab departments, a chapel, as well as a 250-seat teaching auditorium.
