The Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction is searching for a part-time/full-time BE/BC psychiatrist to fill our Physician Administrator 2 (Psychiatrist) position to meet the mental health needs of the incarcerated male population. Selected candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team that may include psychologists, social workers, nurses, and custody staff. Our mental health team strives to deliver holistic care to the offender in collaboration with staff from our medical, recovery services, education, recreation, and religious services departments. Primary responsibilities include evaluation and assessment, management of medication, participation in treatment team meetings, referrals for and participation in mandated medication hearings, referrals for residential treatment of decompensated offenders, written summaries of care, and clinical supervision of nurse practitioners. Schedule is weekdays with no nights or weekend, and on-call is by phone triage only. Salary is negotiable based on qualifications, education, experience and other correctional-specific factors.
