Wingspan Care Group Wingspan Care Group is a non-profit administrative and management organization that provides a united, community-based network of services so member agencies can focus on mission-related goals and operate in a more cost-effective and efficient manner. Located in Shaker Heights, key affiliates include Applewood Centers, Bellefaire JCB and Lifeworks: Adult Autism Services.
Applewood Centers is a private, non-profit agency providing mental health services, social services and education to children, adolescents and families living in Cuyahoga and Lorain counties. Applewood provides a continuum of care from outpatient counseling to residential treatment. Services include residential treatment programs, foster care and adoption, and The Gerson School - an alternative day school.
Bellefaire JCB is among the nation’s largest, most experienced child service agencies providing a variety of behavioral health and autism services to youth, including residential treatment, substance abuse, education and prevention services. Locations include Shaker Heights, Lorain, Medina and Akron. Bellefaire JCB helps more than 21,700 youth and their families yearly achieve resiliency, dignity and self-sufficiency through its more than 25 programs including:
- Outpatient Counseling
- School-based Counseling
- Prevention and Early Intervention (SAY - Social Advocates for Youth)
- Homeless and Missing Youth Program
- Foster Care and Adoption
- Residential Treatment including Crisis Stabilization and Assessment, Drug and Alcohol Treatment, Transitional and Independent Living, and Autism Therapeutic Residential.
Lifeworks: Adult Autism Services, founded in 2013, provides vocational and educational opportunities for adults throughout Northeast Ohio with a diagnosis of autism. Lifeworks is a sister agency of Bellefaire JCB, one of the nation’s leading providers and innovators of wellness, advocacy, and behavioral healthcare for children, youth, and their families. Building upon the successful Monarch Model developed at Bellefaire JCB’s Monarch Center for Autism, Lifeworks enables adults on the autism spectrum opportunities to express, explore, and achieve diagnostic-appropriate independence through social and communicative educational development as well as vocational readiness programming.
