- FTE .9 is three (3) - 12 hour night shifts per week with an every 3rd weekend rotation.
- FTE .6 is two (2) – 12 hour night shifts per week with an every 3rd weekend rotation
New employees, hired forNIGHT shift RCP and who have at least 2 years related RCP experience, are eligible for a Sign-On Bonus of up to $6,000.
In addition, for any level of experience, a RCP NIGHT shift bonus of up to $2000 annually is available.
Provides therapeutic, diagnostic, consultative and supportive services for neonatal through adult patients and their families. Actively participates in resuscitative and emergent situations. Functions within professional and hospital standards.
Current License by the State of Wisconsin as a Respiratory Care Practitioner with current Certified Respiratory Therapist credential.
Must obtain RRT within 6 months of hire and remain current with credential.
Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
Current PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification - American Heart Association (AHA) training is required within 6 months.
Transport-RCP – full-time FTE .9 Nights:
The Transport Respiratory Care Practitioner (TRCP) provides patient care in a mobile environment to high risk patients and their families being transported to/from Children's Hospital of Wisconsin. This position requires a respiratory care practitioner who has demonstrated competencies and advanced clinical knowledge in the respiratory care practices. The TRCP is responsible for providing quality assessment, therapeutic interventions, and clinical expertise to the neonatal/pediatric/adult population in the transport environment. The TRCP in conjunction with the Transport Nurse Clinician (TNC) acts as a resource hospital wide for patient care standards and pre-code recognition.
Patient care is provided in accordance with established policy and procedures, medical protocols, and/or direct on-line consultation with the appropriate medical control physician within the transport environment (ambulance, helicopter, fixed wing). The TRCP must be able to prioritize, evaluate, and manage multiple patient needs through critical thinking skills in an ever changing environment.
Current License by the State of Wisconsin as a Respiratory Care Practitioner with current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) and RRT credentials. Requires 3 - 5 years’ experience in Respiratory Care, including 2 -3 years of critical care experience in neonatal, pediatric, or adult critical care ICU experience.
Acquires and maintains: Joint Commission requirements, NRP, PALS and ACLS certification. Current CPR certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers through American Heart or American Red Cross is required.
Must pass pre-placement physical exam and meet health requirements for flying within the physical capacity evaluation prior to hire and annually. Transport team must meet height requirements of not greater than 6ft 2in., not less than 4 ft 10 in. Transport team members must maintain a mission ready weight less than 245 pounds. Mission ready is defined as your weight including the flight suit, boots, helmet with liner, coat with liner, and any other personal items that you carry. Requirements are subject to annual review with one year advance notice to change. In the Fixed Wing/Rotor Wing/Ambulance, must be able to lift/carry 65 pound
